Chase's Backstory

Abandoned by his father when he was young, Robert Chase (who prefers "Chase" over his given name) was thrust into the role of taking care of his mother until her alcohol-related death a few years later. Chase is, as you might imagine, very angry and bitter toward his father, Rowan, now deceased. So, as you can imagine, he has some daddy-issues that remain unresolved (though suppressed) to this day.

Chase attended Seminary school for a time, but abandoned that calling to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a doctor. At age 26, Chase is by all accounts, a brilliant doctor, and at times over-eager. He is ambitious, and can be quite amoral, showing an indifferent and sometimes cold approach in his work. His job is very important to him, and keeping it and being respected make him a little cut-throat in threatening situations.

He is, by title, an Intensivist, though he currently works under the acclaimed (and terribly grumpy) Dr. Gregory House in the Diagnostics Department at New Jersey's Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.

Australian by birth, Chase does not like when people assume he is British. Hence the journal name.

Chase is of average height, with a slow smile and blue eyes that twinkle in the light. His hair is a dingy shade of blonde, which he hates. He used to dye it a more blonde sort of blonde, but after a few years decided that it was too much trouble.

Things you'll notice about Chase: He has a strong Australian accent, so everything he says? Accented. He's also not a completely approachable sort of fellow, but he is very good looking nonetheless. He may act indifferent, and sometimes even insensitive sometimes, but he is a good guy, and he (mostly) means well.
